I am an interior designer and ordered 4 antlers for my client. Two came with the antler completely broken off at the base. I waited quite a while for them and wanted to install them sooooo, I found a wonderful glue that dried like white cement and fixed them myself. Ballard offered to send me two new ones but....I didn't want to wait any longer. They were packed wonderfully in foam, in hard styrofoam in the shape of the antlers so I am guessing this damage was due to a weak part in the manufacturing. So enjoy them, just beware you may have this problem.
